School buses carry our most precious cargo, yet their ride
is like the harshest truck. The MOR/ryde rubber suspension
system is the rough road solution for transporting students.
Whether the bus is used for handicapped transportation, normal
bus routes, or transporting students to special events, the
MOR/ryde system delivers a much smoother ride.
The MOR/ryde
system is a rubber shear spring suspension that
works with the existing steel leaf springs. The unique rubber
springs isolate and absorb road shock and increase the dynamic
axle travel. This allows the bus suspension to better absorb
the impact of rough roads. The increased travel applies to
all load conditions (fully loaded or almost empty) and over
even the roughest of roads.
This allows the MOR/ryde system to provide:
- Smoother ride
- Greater passenger comfort
- Improved driver comfort
- Better protection of the bus from damaging rough roads
The MOR/ryde system is available for a variety of school
bus chassis and can be aftermarket installed onto existing
buses.
The state of Kentucky recently approved this system for retrofit
on school buses in the state contract. Some of the school
districts and school transportation providers currently using
MOR/ryde's new steer and/or drive axle suspension systems
